Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to visit Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference on Feb. 16-18, as reported by German publication Tagesspiegel on Feb. 7.

The details of the visit and the exact schedule are classified for security reasons, the media said.

Christoph Heusgen, chairman of the Munich Security Conference, would not confirm whether Zelenskyy would participate in the event. However, he said the organizers are making efforts to ensure the Ukrainian president would attend.

“Zelenskyy has been sent an invitation,” Heusgen said.

This will mark Zelenskyy’s third visit to Germany since Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Ukraine may sign a security agreement with Germany in February, European Pravda reported on Feb. 3, citing the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The draft document has already been finalized.

Zelensky visited Germany with an unannounced visit on Jan. 14, 2023. He visited the US Army Command in Europe and Africa in Wiesbaden, as well as met with US, NATO, and Ukrainian military commanders.
