Russia launches massive combined attack with 570 drones and missiles against Ukraine

Kyiv was the main goal of the Russian combined attack. A specific feature of the massive attack was the simultaneous use of various types of air attack weapons from different directions, and deployment of a large number of ballistic missiles and jet-powered UAVs.
According to the Air Force, Russia used 496 UAVs and 74 missiles for the attack:
- 4 3M22 Zircon anti-ship missiles;
- 24 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 34 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 8 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 4 Kh-59/69 guided aviation missiles.
Air defense forces destroyed 476 drones and 48 missiles of the following types:
- 4 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 32 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 8 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 4 Kh-59/69 guided aviation missiles.
25 ballistic missiles and 12 attack UAVs hit 33 locations, damage from falling debris was reported at 18 locations.
Massive strike on Kyiv on July 2
On the night of July 2, Russia carried out one of its largest bombardments of Kyiv, with powerful explosions echoing throughout the city. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), damage has been recorded at 30 locations across all districts of the capital. Specifically, there were direct hits on high-rise buildings in Pecherskyi and Darnytskyi districts. In total,
20 high-rises were damaged in total, along with a hotel, an ambulance substation, and private houses.
