Irish MMA fighter Conor McGregor trolled Russian MMA star Petr Yan in an Oct. 23 tweet after the latter’s defeat by American fighter Sean O'Malley.
The Russian, known for his support of Russia’s war in Ukraine, lost to his U.S. rival by a split decision of the judges at the UFC 280 tournament in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.
After the fight, McGregor mocked the fact that Yan was called the best fighter in the promotion in terms of striking.
“Best striker in the UFC, lol”, he wrote on Twitter. However, later he removed his post.
Yan, known for his support of the war in Ukraine, previously said that it all had started because "paid-for puppets" came to power in the country.
