S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, developed by Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, climbed into the top five most popular games for PC and Xbox in the United States in its first days of release, Circana analytical agency wrote on Dec. 2.

Released on Nov. 20 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, the game also became available through Game Pass. The game quickly gained traction in Circana US Player Engagement Tracker, ranking among the top titles in both the PC and Xbox markets in the U.S., the analysts wrote.

Among Xbox games, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 secured the fourth spot, trailing only Call of Duty HQ, Fortnite, and Roblox. On Steam, it was bested only by Counter-Strike 2 and Call of Duty HQ.

What sets S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 apart is its dominance in the single-player category, standing as the undisputed leader that week among games without multiplayer modes.

This success follows its recent record-breaking week in Steam's revenue charts, where S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 outperformed Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2, becoming the platform's top-grossing title. While it has since dropped to 10th place, the game achieved a peak of 121,000 concurrent players.
