Two civilians were killed and 25 injured after Russian occupation forces targeted the center of Slovyansk, Donetsk Oblast, with a missile strike on March 27, regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko reported on Telegram.
Russian troops hit the city with two S-300 missiles at around 10:30 a.m. Office buildings, five high-rise buildings, and seven private houses were destroyed.
All of the emergency services are working at the scene.

The State Emergency Service reported that fires in three cars have been extinguished. Debris removal and rescue operations are ongoing, and information about the victims is being clarified.
"Another day that began with Russian terrorism," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented.
“The enemy must know: Ukraine will not forgive the abuse of our people, will not forgive these deaths and injuries. All Russian terrorists will be defeated. Everyone involved in this aggression will be held accountable.”

The Russians also fired two S-300 missiles at the town of Druzhkivka, hitting an orphanage. Preliminary reports indicate there were no victims. Kyrylenko posted a photo of the destroyed building.
Russian troops regularly attack civilian targets in Donetsk Oblast.

The day before, they launched a missile attack on the frontline town of Avdiyivka, damaging high-rise buildings, a hotel, and a court building. Before the Slovyansk attack, Russians had killed one person and wounded two others in the past 24 hours.
As well as Donetsk Oblast, Russian invasion forces regularly attack with artillery and missiles civilian residential areas in other Ukrainian oblasts close to Russian territory or Russian-occupied territory, including Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya and Mykolaiv.
