10,000 Ukrainians in Khmelnytskyi Oblast left without power after Russian attack, power mostly restored
More than 10,000 Ukrainians in Khmelnytskyi Oblast were left without power after Russia damaged energy facilities in its mass attack overnight on May 30, Ukrenergo reported.
No casualties were reported.
Power was mostly restored with only 500 consumers remaining without power, Ukrenergo wrote later, at 11:00 a.m. EET.
One city in Khmelntysky Oblast was partially left without electricity due to the Russian attack, said Khmelnytskyi Governor, Serhii Tyurin, adding that the necessary services are working on-site to restore the power supply.
More than ten aerial targets were eliminated over Khmelnytskyi Oblast, the Khmelnytskyi Military Administration added.
Russian mass attack on May 30
The Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine overnight on May 30, firing Shahed drones and missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers.
Explosions were heard, in particular, near Starokostyantyniv in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
A power line was damaged in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The Russians hit critical infrastructure in one of Kharkiv’s districts, injuring seven people.
Ukrainian Air Defense shot down seven cruise missiles out of 19 and all 32 Shahed kamikaze drones launched by Russia against Ukraine overnight on May 30, Air Force reported.
