Russian invasion forces are constantly changing their tactics in their attempts to storm the town of Bakhmut, but they lack the home field advantage, the “Kholodnyi Yar” 93rd Detached Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Facebook on Feb. 13.

"The fight for Bakhmut is ongoing,” the brigade wrote.

“The enemy is constantly changing its tactics from attacking with small assault groups to involving dozens of newly mobilized soldiers. However, their position is considerably weaker as they play on a foreign field, fighting for foreign soil. And this is exactly that thing that promises the invader a big failure.”

The UK's Ministry of Defense has reported that Russian troops have made gains in the Bakhmut area. According to them, Wagner Group mercenaries have pushed 2-3 km further to the west, where they gained control over the main road into the city.

On Feb. 10, the spokesperson for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevaty, reported that there were 54 recorded instances of combat over the past day, but that the Russias had failed to achieve their objectives.
