An unidentified group has blown up the railway bridge between Melitopol and Tokmak that Russian invasion forces used to transport weapons to the front, the Center for National Resistance, created by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported on July 3.
The bridge was located just to the east of the Russian-occupied village of Liubymivka in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, about 30 kilometers to the north of Melitopol.
“An explosion took place in the occupied village of Liubymivka,” the center said.
“It’s not difficult to figure out that it was along this branch that the invaders were transporting weapons and military equipment to the frontlines. However, now, due to ‘technical difficulties,’ such assistance may not arrive.”
The center also noted that a few days ago, in an operation by Ukrainian partisans, an armored train with ammunition was derailed between the town of Yakymivka and the city of Melitopol in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
