Over the past 24 hours Russian forces have launched four missile strikes,16 airstrikes, and carried out more than 75 attacks using Multiple Launch Rocket Systems at military and civilian targets in Ukraine, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on Oct. 2.
The invaders used Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones to strike at infrastructure facilities, the General Staff said.
Over Oct. 1, more than 30 cities and villages were hit by enemy strikes, including Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Vodyane, Trudove, Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, Orihiv, Zaliznychne, Illinka, Nikopol, Blahodativka, Mykolaiv, Ochakiv, and Odesa.
Invading Russian forces also fired from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery:
- on the Siversky axis – in the areas of the settlements of Seredyna Buda, Fotovizh and Budky of Sumy Oblast;
- on the Slobozhansk axis – in the areas of Vovchansk and Gatishche in Kharkiv Oblast;
- on the Kramatorsk axis – Hryhorivka, Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske and Rozdolivka;
- on the Bakhmut axis – Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Odradivka, Opytne, Yakovlivka, Yuryivka and Novoselivka;
- on the Avdiyivsky axis – Avdiyivka, Krasnohorivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka and Vodyane.
- on the Novopavlivskyi and Zaporizhzhia axes – Novoukrainka, Paraskoviivka, Prechistivka, Pavlivka, Neskuchne, Shakhtarskyi, Velyka Novosilka, Novoandriivka, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipole, Hulyaipilske, Poltavka, Novopil and Vremivka.
- on the Pivdennobuzhsky axis, shelling from tanks, mortars and artillery was recorded around 28 settlements near the contact line.
