Moscow airports halt operations after drone attack
Moscow’s Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports temporarily suspended flight operations after the drone attack, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) wrote on June 24.
Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin earlier claimed that two drones were allegedly shot down on the outskirts of the capital.
He wrote about the first incident around 2:00 a.m. local time, and within ten minutes announced that a second UAV had been destroyed.
Emergency services are reportedly working at the crash sites of the drone debris.
