Ninth victim identified after Shahed drone attack on Rzhyshchiv

The death toll from the Russian Shahed drone attack on the city of Rzhyshchiv in Kyiv Oblast has risen to nine, the State Emergency Service reported on Facebook on March 23.

Work on clearing the debris in the territory of Rzhyshchiv Professional Lyceum has been completed, SES said.

The superintendent of the dormitory, a woman born in 1966, was identified as the ninth victim of the attack, Kyiv Oblast police chief, Andriy Nebytov, stated on Telegram. She did not seek shelter during the air raid.

Regions of Ukraine were targeted by Russian invaders using Iranian Shahed drones on the night of March 22. In Rzhyshchiv, two dormitories and a college were struck.

The General Staff reported that the occupiers launched a total of 21 drones over Ukraine, 16 of which were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders.
