Two emergency workers were killed as a result of an overnight Russian attack with Shahed suicide drones in the city of Khmelnytskyi, city authorities reported on Feb. 27.
Vladyslav Dvorak, 21, and Serhiy Sevruk, 35, were working at the scene of the impact when they were deliberately targeted by a follow-up attack, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported. Another three emergency workers were wounded and are hospitalized.

Invading Russian troops conducted a Shahed drone attack against Ukraine overnight on Feb. 26. Explosions were heard at night in Kyiv itself, as well as Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts – reportedly due to air defense.

Three explosions were reported in Khmelnytskyi.
Out of the 14 launched drones, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 11 of them, Ukraine’s General Staff said, including nine near Kyiv.
