Russia’s drone barrage hits Dnipro, killing one and injuring five

The aggressor state Russia launched a massive drone attack on the city of Dnipro, killing one person and injuring five others, regional governor Serhii Lysak reported on July 17.

"Four men aged 35, 37, 40, and 52 were hospitalized, three of them in serious condition," he wrote.

"A 70-year-old victim will be treated at home."

The Russian attack caused several fires and damaged businesses.

The Oblast Military Administration reported that air defense forces shot down 22 drones over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

“There were fires in Dnipro and its suburbs as well. It was loud in the Solone and Slobozhanske communities,” Lysak added.

A farm building and a greenhouse were damaged as a result of Russian shelling near Dnipro.

On the evening of July 16, Russian occupiers launched several groups of Shahed drones toward Ukraine. Air raid alerts were announced in several oblasts. Explosions were heard in Dnipro.
