Russian forces hit Kharkiv and Dnipro oblasts overnight

The Russian military fired almost 80 Grad rockets at Dnipropetrovsk Oblast overnight on Oct. 8, Valentin Reznichenko, governor of Dnipropetrovsk oblast, said in a post on his channel on the Telegram messenger.

The communities of Chervonohrihorivka, Marganets, and Myrivka came under fire, Reznichenko said. They caused a fire in the community Marganets, which has already been extinguished. Private houses, farm buildings and power lines were damaged. The invaders’ rockets killed more than 30 domestic animals in local resident’s yards.

Private homes, farm buildings, a bus stop, a gas pipeline, and electricity grids were damaged in Myrivka.

Almost 500 families were left without electricity in the community of Chervonohrihorivka. Emergency crews are already working on repairs.

Preliminarily reports indicate there were no casualties in the attacks.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was also hit on the night of Oct. 7. Most of damage occurred in Nikopol region, where Russian forces fired around 40 shells.

Kharkiv Oblast was also attacked on the night of Oct. 8, with missile strikes, Oleh Synyehubov, head of the regional State Administration, wrote on Twitter on Oct. 8.

The Russians attacked the Saltivskyi district of the city of Kharkiv four times with S-300 missiles launched from near the Russia’s city of Belgorod. Another missile hit Kharkiv’s Osnovyanskyi district.

"A sports complex and non-residential premises were damaged, and open areas were hit. Previously, a man was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds," Synyehubov wrote.

Currently, law enforcement and all special services are working at the sites of the attacks.

Earlier on, Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov reported the shelling of the central part of Kharkiv. He said a hospital and a non-residential building were on fire due to the shelling.
