Russians hit central park and industrial facility with S-300 missiles

Invading Russian forces launched an attack on Kharkiv with S-300 missiles, striking the city’s central park, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terehov reported on Feb. 8.
Terehov published photos showing large craters at the impact sites – six to nine strikes are believed to have impacted the city in total.


Meanwhile, Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Synehubov added that four S-300 missiles hit an industrial facility in the city as well.


The attack damaged the buildings at the facility, sparked a massive fire, though no deaths or injuries were reported. Emergency workers were on the scene.
Another Russian attack on Kharkiv Oblast, in the town of Vovchansk, killed one woman and injured another, and damaged the hospital there, starting a fire, regional authorities stated. More attacks damaged houses in the town of Kupyansk.
