Russian invaders conducting offensive actions in several areas in Donbas, General Staff says

Russian invading forces are continuing to conduct offensive operations in several areas of the Donbas, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a Facebook post on Aug. 15.

In particular, the enemy is trying to attack in the Kramatorsk area, actively using assault troops and army aviation. Shelling was recorded near Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka, Starodubivka, Vesele, Fedorivka, and Siversk.

According to the General Staff, the Russians intensified reconnaissance of the front edge of the Ukrainian defense in the Bakhmut area, as well as carrying out shelling from artillery and tanks near Toretsk, Bakhmutske, Bilohorivka, Kurdiumivka, Vasylivka, Zaitseve, and Zalizne.

They also launched air strikes near Soledar, and attempted to advance towards Soledar and Kodema. However, these attacks failed and the enemy retreated.

In the Avdiyivka area, shelling was recorded near Sribne, Krasnohorivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske, Novobakhmutivka, and Maryinka, while an air strike was carried out near Krasnohorivka.

“In order to improve the tactical position, the invaders conducted offensive battles towards Pisky and Pervomaiske, but they did not succeed and retreated,” the Ukrainian military said.

In the Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhya areas, enemy troops fired tank and artillery shells, and launched rockets near Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, Novomykhailivka, Novodanylivka, Ternuvate, Burlatske, Charivne, Zelene Pole, Mala Tokmachka, Poltavka, Novoandriyivka, and Privilne.

The invaders also conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs near Stepnohirsk, Shcherbaky, Stepove, and Huliaipole, the Ukrainian military said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian soldiers neutralized an enemy reconnaissance group near Vremivka.

The enemy also tried to advance towards Pavlivka, but failed and retreated.
