Russian troops shelled Dnipropetrovsk Oblast throughout the night, pounding Nikopol and Synelnykove districts, the head of the oblast’s military administration Valentyn Reznichenko said in a Telegram messenger post on Aug. 9.

He said Russia had attacked the town of Nikopol three times using Grad rocket systems.

“Some 120 rockets landed in the town,” he said.

“Several residential buildings were damaged. Workshops, administrative premises and cars were damaged at three enterprises.”

Reznichenko added that a 46-year-old employee of one of the enterprises was injured as a result of the shelling. He was hospitalized with a fracture.

According to the official, the Velykomykhailivka territorial community in the Synelnykove district also came under fire. Preliminarily, there were no casualties, but there was destruction of houses.

Russia is currently attacking Dnipropetrovsk Oblast every day with multiple rocket launchers and artillery, as well as conducting missile attacks.

The invaders have been intensively shelling the residential areas of Nikopol for the past month. Because of this, local residents have been urged to temporarily leave the town.
