Russian strikes on Odesa wounded four civilians and damaged residential homes overnight, city military administration head Serhiy Lysak reported on Nov. 2.
The attack inflicted structural damage on two residential dwellings and a detached garage, while the resultant blast wave shattered window glazing across multiple neighboring apartment blocks and private residences.
Emergency response services, operational dispatch crews, and disaster response headquarters were immediately deployed to the strike locations to clear structural debris, secure damaged buildings, and provide urgent medical and psychological aid to injured residents.
Beginning late on the evening of Nov. 1, Russian forces launched an expansive assault utilizing both turbojet-powered and conventional Shahed loitering munitions across Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian Air Force tracked a high-speed turbojet-powered Shahed flying along a vector toward Tatarbunary in Odesa Oblast in this attack.
On Oct. 26, Russian forces repeatedly struck a private industrial plant and a garage cooperative in Odesa, igniting massive blazes across the industrial facilities.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
