The Ukrainian military shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in Kherson Oblast on the morning of Nov. 7, the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force wrote on its channel on Telegram on Nov. 7.

The air force said the enemy aircraft was destroyed by a unit of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Southern Air Command around 9:30 a.m.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been actively destroying enemy combat aircraft in the south and east of Ukraine near the front line in recent months.

Last week, the Russian military increased the use of its aviation on the right bank of the Dnipro River, but Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to down 13 enemy aircraft – four planes and nine helicopters.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian military has destroyed 277 planes, 260 helicopters, and 1,472 drones of the enemy.

Russian aircraft have been shot down not just by the Air Force, but also by soldiers of the Air Defense Ground Forces, Airborne Assault Forces, and Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces.
