Russian troops shelled Dnipropetrovsk Oblast throughout the night, pounding Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts, head of the oblast’s military administration Valentyn Reznichenko said in a Telegram messenger post on Aug. 17.
According to the governor, “the night was loud.”
Reznichenko said the invaders had attacked the Nikopol District three times during the night. The town of Nikopol was shelled with artillery eight times, resulting in the damage of six residential buildings, cars and a gas pipeline. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.
Russian troops also attacked the Chervonohryhorivka territorial community, with 40 rockets fired from Grad multiple launch rocket systems landing in the area. As a result, a local enterprise and a power line were damaged.
The governor noted that Russian rockets had also hit the recently repaired Nikopol highway, cratering the road surface there. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
In addition, the enemy shelled the Shyroke territorial community in the Kryvyi Rih district, using Uragan heavy rocket systems. There were no casualties or damage.
