Polish Rak self-propelled mortar in action on frontline – video
A video showing Polish Rak self-propelled mortars in action was released by the Ukrainian 44th Separate Mechanized Brigade on Dec. 11.
The military is already using them in tasks aimed at eliminating Russian invaders.
The self-propelled artillery unit's deployment speed to a combat position is 30 seconds, while leaving the position takes only 15 seconds. The M120 RAK is 7.8 meters long, 2.8 meters wide, 3.4 meters high, and weighs 24.5 tons. The crew consists of four persons. The Rak can carry 46 rounds of ammunition and is capable of direct fire.
Poland will transfer Rosomak armored personnel carriers, Piorun anti-aircraft missile systems, and Rak self-propelled mortars to Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a joint briefing with Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki in Warsaw on April 5.
