Ukraine strikes Russian UAV sites, command posts and relay stations

Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a Russian attack-drone storage and launch site, logistics warehouses, command posts and ground relay stations on Aug. 20-21, Ukraine’s General Staff reported.
Ukrainian forces hit a site used to store, prepare and launch attack drones near Russian-occupied Donetsk.
Two Russian command posts were also struck, one near Zaporizke in Donetsk Oblast and another near Kobylnе in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
Ukrainian forces also hit a Russian logistics warehouse in Novosilske in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Six ground relay stations used to control Geran and Gerbera attack drones were also targeted on the occupied peninsula.
Two relay stations were struck in Sterehushche, three near Olenivka and one in Chornomorske.
A ground relay station transmits command and communications signals between a drone operator and the UAV, increasing the range and stability of drone operations, the General Staff said.
The latest strikes follow a series of Ukrainian attacks on Russian military logistics and drone infrastructure in occupied territories.
On Aug. 19, the General Staff reported that Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a road bridge across the Molochna River near Molochansk in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
Ukrainian forces also hit three drone warehouses in occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, a ground relay station for attack drones in Crimea, a drone command post in Kherson Oblast, a logistics warehouse in Kadiivka and an area where Russian weapons and military equipment were concentrated in Lysychansk.
