NABU investigation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Nov. 12 that he will sign a decree imposing sanctions on two individuals implicated in a NABU investigation into corruption at state nuclear operator Energoatom. He also called for the resignations of Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk.

A recording released by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) suggests that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy once phoned then–Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko at the request of businessman and Kvartal 95 co-owner Tymur Mindich, prosecutor Serhiy Savytskyi of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) said during a hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court.
