Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) Alpha special unit became the Defense Forces' most effective unit in using drones under the government's Drones for Points program in March, acting SBU head Yevheni Khmara reported on April 14.

He made this statement while congratulating representatives of Ukraine's defense industry on Armorer's Day, celebrated on April 13.

"Ukrainian armorers produce unique products that we use on the battlefield every day — asymmetrically, unexpectedly for the invaders, inflicting maximum damage on them," he stressed.

"Textbooks of the world's top intelligence agencies already write about SBU operations carried out using domestic developments. And Ukrainian armorers are a part of these operations."

Weapons production in Ukraine has grown by nearly 50 times, and domestic companies are constantly searching for new technological solutions, participants of the Armorer's Day event highlighted.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, Defense Ministry and General Staff representatives, military personnel, and arms manufacturers participated in the event.

SBU fighters have struck the following enemy targets during the full-scale invasion:

2,269 tanks

4,104 armored combat vehicles

4,587 artillery systems

355 MLRS

725 air defense systems.

Ukraine, unlike in the 1990s and 2000s, is not selling off its weapons and emptying its warehouses, but is offering other countries a long-term and profitable security partnership, Zelenskyy said in an address on the occasion of Armorer's Day on April 13.

The head of state added that Ukraine now offers other countries a lucrative security partnership.
