Russian forces launch repeat missile strikes on Odesa, causing fires and casualties

9:35 AM — The State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine clarified that a seven-story residential building was among the structures damaged in the attack.

9:25 AM — Head of Odesa Oblast Military Administration Oleh Kiper reported that rescuers successfully saved three residents, including two children.

Kiper noted that a non-residential building and a gas pipeline were also damaged, triggering a fire that has already been extinguished. Additionally, the strike destroyed a single-story building, a finished goods warehouse at a manufacturing plant, and several cargo trucks. All localized fires have since been put out.

8 AM — Head of the Odesa City Military Administration Serhii Lysak reported a repeat strike by Russian forces on the city.

Three people are confirmed dead, three others were injured and hospitalized in moderate condition. Several residential buildings also sustained damage, he added.

Air Force had warned of incoming missiles heading toward Odesa before the strike.

Kiper initially reported on Telegram that the territory of a local enterprise had been damaged, with emergency services working on-site to evaluate the situation. Lysak also confirmed the initial strike shortly after the Air Force's warning.

July 13 strike on Odesa

This attack follows a prior strike on July 13, when Russian troops targeted a transport enterprise in Odesa.

Six buses caught fire, while 11 other buses and six passenger cars were damaged. The strike also heavily damaged a local sanatorium building. According to rescue services, four people were injured, including a five-year-old child who was hospitalized with lacerations.
