Russian drone strike hits administrative building in Chernihiv

Russian forces carried out a drone attack on Chernihiv on the morning of July 21, striking an administrative building, head of the city's military administration Dmytro Bryzhynskyi reported.

“An administrative building was hit. A fire broke at the impact site,” he stated.

Bryzhynskyi noted that the full extent of the damage is still being assessed. 

He later added that one person was injured in the Russian attack. According to preliminary reports, the victim suffered blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and an acute stress reaction. 

The Chernihiv City Council press service clarified that the strike targeted an administrative building in the city center, adding that the attack partially destroyed the structure.

Additionally, the blast wave shattered windows at a nearby higher education institution.

Russian troops attacked the northern part of Chernihiv on July 5, destroying a Nova Poshta sorting terminal.
