A Russian drone struck a railway station in Vilniansk, Zaporizhzhya Oblast on May 15, injuring two passengers aboard a Zaporizhzhya-2–Synelnykove commuter train who were unable to evacuate in time, Ukraine's Ministry for Communities and Territories Development reported.

The train was stopped for evacuation immediately after a drone threat warning was received, the ministry said.

However, Ukrainian Railways noted that time was extremely limited, and two passengers who were unable to evacuate in time sustained shrapnel wounds. Both were handed over to medics.
