Emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv and its oblast, as well as in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk oblasts, DTEK reported on Telegram on Aug. 30.
This directive was issued by Ukrenergo in response to the ongoing strain on the national power grid caused by mass Russian attack on Ukraine's power system on Aug. 26.
Scheduled outages are suspended due to emergency, DTEK stressed.
Similar outages were implemented across Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava oblasts just a day earlier, on Aug. 29.
