Enhanced warhead-equipped drone suspected in Odesa residential building devastation – Humeniuk

The enemy has recently begun launching drones at very low altitudes, making them more difficult to shoot down, said Humeniuk, adding that they fly low above sea level and then suddenly rise to higher altitudes, from which they strike.
“The enemy is also modifying its drones, changing the engines, and altering the warheads,” she said.
“Therefore, it is quite possible that the combat payload of the warhead has been increased, resulting in such destruction. However, this will be determined by the investigation and expertise of relevant experts.”
“The last attack on Odesa was quite intense, with air defense units working for an hour to combat targets approaching simultaneously from different directions,” said the spokeswoman.
“Most of the enemy drones approached from the Black Sea direction, followed by strong maneuvers over industrial facilities and port infrastructure, as well as between residential buildings.”
“Ukrainian air defenses shot down seven drones, but one drone hit a nine-story residential building, killing at least ten people, including an eight-month-old baby, a four-month-old baby, and a two-year-old boy. At least nine other civilians were wounded. Rescue efforts are underway as several more people are believed to be trapped under the rubble,” she added.
