Law enforcement officers in Kyiv are checking multiple reports of possible bomb threats targeting government institutions, educational facilities, businesses, and other sites, Kyiv Police wrote on Jan. 30.

The police stressed that these reports are often part of Russia’s information warfare, but every address is being thoroughly inspected by police units. Bomb disposal experts and canine teams have been deployed to the sites.

At the same time, social media is reporting a large-scale wave of “bomb threats” affecting facilities in several Ukrainian oblasts, including Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Lviv, Poltava, and others. As a result, some Interior Ministry service centers, tax offices, and educational institutions have suspended operations.

Regional media in Ivano-Frankivsk report evacuations of children from schools. The spokesperson for the Oblast’s patrol police, Khrystyna Mryhlid, confirmed to local media that law enforcement received reports of possible bomb threats at multiple lyceums, colleges, and other educational institutions.

The outlet NTA reports bomb threat alerts at several schools in Lviv and the surrounding areas. In Vinnytsia, local media say police are checking anonymous bomb threat messages at several lyceums.
