Ukrainian Air Force: New Russian drone tactics tested over Kyiv

More than 30 enemy attack drones were flying toward Kyiv Oblast this morning.
"The not-so-good news is that these drones have communication channels, including mesh networks and others. The enemy can control them, and they are of various types. The good news is that almost all of them were shot down," Ihnat said.
Experts are examining debris from the crashed UAVs, including those that fell near Kyiv's Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti), to determine the type of drones used.
Ihnat also said that reports of a high-speed missile heading toward the capital, previously announced by the Air Force, have not been confirmed.
"A target resembling a cruise missile in terms of flight parameters was identified. So far, the information has not been confirmed. We are determining what it was and whether it was an obstacle or some kind of false target.”
Russia continues to upgrade its drones and missiles, investing billions of dollars in their development. As a result, Russian UAVs are becoming harder for electronic warfare systems to detect and suppress.
On Monday morning, explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital as air defense systems were activated in response to swarms of attack drones approaching the city from the north. Later, the Air Force declared a missile threat.
Debris from downed enemy targets fell in three districts of the city. There were no reported casualties.
