Drone debris tears into Kyiv residential building amid nationwide night barrage

Intercepted Russian uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) wreckage struck the residential tower in the Holosiivskyi District, one person sustained injuries, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed.
According to Klitschko, emergency medical personnel treated an injured woman at the scene on an outpatient basis.
SES earlier stated that an apartment on the 14th floor of the high-rise sustained structural wall damage and blown-out windows from the impact, without triggering a subsequent fire.
Overnight into Aug. 25, the Russian military launched an assault against Ukraine utilizing Shahed and Banderol strike drones alongside missiles. Explosions were recorded in Dnipro and Kharkiv. In Zaporizhzhya, strikes ignited multiple fires and killed two civilians.
In Kharkiv, at least one person was killed after missiles struck an industrial zone in the Osnovianskyi District.
Mayor Klitschko noted that the falling debris in Holosiivskyi District caused structural wall collapse and widespread window damage concentrated on the 14th floor of the high-rise.
