Ukrainian Navy destroys six Russian Su-34M bombers at Voronezh air base

The deep strike against the Borisoglebsk air base was conducted using domestic Neptune ground-launched cruise missiles.
In addition to wiping out the six modernized Su-34M strike aircraft, the missile impact destroyed specialized airfield flight-servicing equipment. Following the strikes, massive secondary detonations of ordnance and widespread structural fires erupted across the airfield grounds.
The Ukrainian Navy underscored that the Su-34M is engineered to carry multiple precision-guided and high-explosive aerial bombs simultaneously, alongside diverse air-to-surface missile payloads. The aircraft serves as the Kremlin’s premier aerial platform for launching standoff guided glide bombs (KABs) against Ukrainian defense positions and frontline civilian settlements. The elimination of these bombers substantially degrades the Russian military's aerial strike capacity and will directly diminish the operational intensity of KAB bombardments along active front lines.
Explosions were first heard echoing across Voronezh Oblast late in the evening on Oct. 14, with independent monitoring channels reporting missile strikes targeting the military airfield.
