Police conduct 500 raids targeting illegal arms trade / The New Voice of Ukraine

A large-scale nationwide special operation to combat the illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition is being conducted, the National Police press service reported on June 13.

Over 500 searches already took place.

“These actions are aimed at increasing public safety, preventing crimes involving the use of illegal weapons, as well as curbing their illegal circulation,” law enforcement officials said.

The operation is being carried out in coordination with the Prosecutor General Office and other law enforcement agencies.
