Russia launches 122 drones and two missiles at Ukraine

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 122 strike drones of various types overnight on July 15, Ukraine’s Air Force reported.

The missiles were launched from the airspace of temporarily occupied Crimea.

Russia launched the drones from Kursk, Oryol and Millerovo in Russia, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The attack included Shahed strike drones, including jet-powered variants, as well as Gerbera and Italmas drones and Parodiya-type decoy drones.

Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 101 Russian drones in northern, southern and eastern Ukraine as of 8:30 a.m., the Air Force said.

Missile strikes and hits by 18 strike drones were recorded at 19 locations.

Debris from downed targets fell in seven other areas.

Russian forces launched a repeat airstrike on Odesa Oblast at around 7 a.m.

Three people were killed and three others injured in the strike on Odesa, Odesa City Military Administration head Serhiy Lysak said.

Russian forces also struck a gas station in Zhytomyr Oblast on July 15, injuring two people.
