Russian troops attack Ukraine with nearly 100 drones overnight, hits at eight locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight into Jan. 3, with 95 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types — about 60 were Shaheds, Ukraine's Air Force reported on Telegram.
Air defenses neutralized 80 Russian drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
The Russian attack recorded 15 drone impacts at eight locations, plus falls of downed targets and debris at two locations, the Air Force said.
Air raid alerts were declared in several regions overnight into Jan. 3 due to drone threats. Explosions were heard in Mykolaiv. According to the regional military administration, Russia struck a gas station in the city and massively attacked critical infrastructure in the region. Power outages were recorded in the Mykolaiv district.
Explosions were also heard overnight in Kyiv, with reports of air defense activity.
