Ukraine intercepts 236 of 280 Russian drones, ballistic and cruise missiles in overnight attack

Officials reported that drones were launched from Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, ballistic missiles from Russia’s Rostov and Voronezh oblasts and temporarily occupied Crimea, and cruise missiles from strategic aviation aircraft over the Caspian Sea.
Air defenses intercepted or suppressed 236 aerial targets:
230 Shahed drones and various types of target drones
Two Iskander-M ballistic missiles
Four Kh-101 cruise missiles
Impacts from four missiles and 40 drones were recorded at 16 locations, with debris falling in three locations.
On the night of Aug. 19, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on Ukraine using strike drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in Kremenchuk as the enemy launched cruise missiles toward the city. Military officials reported that strategic Tu-95MS bombers were also deployed that night.
The attacks struck several oblasts, including Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv, with preliminary reports indicating no casualties or injuries.
