Russia targets Ukraine’s power infrastructure in overnight barrage

She added that the massive attack was still ongoing as of 7:15 a.m.
Energy workers will begin restoration work on infrastructure facilities immediately after the strike, Hrynchuk added.
Earlier on Oct. 22, Russia launched a massive strike with missiles and drones on Kyiv. Impacts and fires were reported in four districts, including in apartment buildings; two people were killed.
In Zaporizhzhya, 2,000 consumers were left without power as a result of the night attack. A fire reportedly broke out in an apartment building, and 13 people were injured.
In Poltava Oblast, facilities of the oil and gas industry in Myrhorod district were damaged, the regional administration reported. Explosions were also reported overnight in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
