Russian Shahed drone entered Romanian territory in overnight attack on Ukraine, but was not intercepted, Andrii Kovalenko, head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, wrote on Nov. 25.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported that one Russian UAV likely crossed into Romania’s airspace at 7:50 a.m.

The military noted that several Russian drones were operating in Odesa Oblast near the Moldovan border, raising the possibility that they may have crossed Ukraine’s state border as well.

During the night, Russian forces attacked the Orlivka international border crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian border with Shahed drones, temporarily halting operations there, Ukraine’s State Customs Service reported.

On the night of Nov. 19, Romania scrambled fighter jets after a UAV violated its airspace amid another large-scale Russian strike on Ukraine.

In the Darnytskyi district, drone debris fell on a private neighborhood, leaving a crater and damaging surrounding areas.
