Russian blitz damages Odesa 24-story residential high-rise and two schools

Two of the injured victims were hospitalized for emergency medical treatment.

The attack heavily damaged a 24-story residential building, destroying apartments across several floors. Office complexes and two educational institutions across multiple municipal districts also sustained partial destruction.

Updated at 8:20 a.m.: Regional governor Oleh Kiper clarified that a five-year-old child was among the injured. He emphasized that the overnight Russian assault deliberately targeted civilian and energy infrastructure, damaging two lyceums, a five-story business center, and commercial warehouse facilities.

Utility teams and power engineers are working to restore severed electricity service throughout the city, with emergency response operations ongoing, the city military administration added.

Ukrainian Air Force tracked incoming Banderol loitering munitions alongside guided aerial bombs (KABs) launched toward Odesa from the Black Sea. Initial reports indicated damage to infrastructure and three injured civilians.
