Shahed drone hits near apartment buildings and restaurant in Kharkiv

Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with drones, striking near residential buildings and a restaurant and wounding people, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on March 26.

At least two strikes were recorded in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv.

9:09 a.m. Two people were injured in the attack — a 65-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, the regional administration said.

Updated at 8:20 a.m. A Shahed drone struck the ground near residential buildings and a restaurant. One person is currently reported injured. About 10 cars were also damaged, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.

Windows were shattered in nearby apartment buildings.

Regional military administration head Oleh Synehubov later said one person was injured as a result of the strike on Kharkiv. Emergency services are working at the scene.

Overnight into March 26, air raid alerts were declared in several oblasts of Ukraine due to the threat of Shahed drones. In Odesa Oblast, drones attacked port and energy infrastructure. In Kryvyi Rih, an infrastructure facility was damaged.
