Kiper reported that port infrastructure facilities were the attack key targets. The two waves of drones damaged equipment, property, and cargo transport, sparking several fires that have since been extinguished by emergency crews.
According to the Oblast Military Administration, relevant services are now on-site to address the aftermath, and the victims are receiving the necessary assistance.
These strikes were part of a massive coordinated effort. The Air Force reported that Russia attacked the country overnight with 56 missiles and 675 drones of various types. Air defense units successfully neutralized 41 missiles and 652 UAVs.
In the capital, the attack led to a residential high-rise section being destroyed in the Darnytskyi district, resulting in one death and more than 30 injuries. In Kyiv Oblast, seven people were wounded, including a three-year-old child, with damage reported across six districts.
Further explosions were recorded overnight in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, and Khmelnytskyi Oblast. This follows a massive assault on May 13, during which Russia targeted western Ukraine with 753 drones.
