Russian drone attack sparks devastating fires and widespread destruction in Kharkiv - photos

The rescuers report indicates that drones hit a civilian enterprise in the city's Kyivskyi district, where fires broke out in industrial and warehouse buildings covering over 3,900 square meters.

The SES is dealing with the attack aftermath.

Kharkiv’s Mayor Ihor Terekhov clarified that the Russians attacked Kharkiv in two waves, with five confirmed hits. Five industrial buildings at one of the scientific and industrial enterprises were damaged, large-scale fire erupted there.

Terekhov also reported the damage to 11 high-rise buildings and two kindergartens.

Three injured men received help on-site, the mayor added.

Explosions were earlier reported in Kharkiv, Tereknov wrote about two injured then. In total, the Russians launched two ballistic missiles and 131 drones at Ukraine overnight.

The Air Force reported that 102 drones were downed or lost radar contact.
