Russian guided aerial bombs hit Sumy shopping center and high-rises, injuring 12

Russian forces launched four guided aerial bomb strikes on Sumy, damaging civilian infrastructure and injuring at least 12 people, regional governor Oleh Hryhorov and Sumy City Military Administration head Serhii Kryvosheyenko reported on Aug. 6.

According to Hryhorov, Russian troops struck the city's civilian infrastructure with four bombs. Multi-story residential buildings, non-residential structures, and other infrastructure facilities near the impact sites sustained damage, with hundreds of windows blown out.

Kryvosheyenko specified that one of the strikes hit a shopping center and civilian infrastructure facilities in the Kovpakivskyi district. Local shops and residential homes were also damaged.

Preliminary police data indicated at least 12 people injured in the attack - now they are receiving necessary medical assistance.

Emergency crews remain at the strike sites conducting site inspections and clearing the aftermath of the Russian bombardment.
