Six guided aerial bombs struck civilian infrastructure in Sumy. Air defense forces managed to shoot down two additional KABs as they approached residential areas. The strikes destroyed and damaged private residences as well as non-residential structures.
The police clarified that in addition to the three fatalities, a 69-year-old woman was injured in the KAB strike on Sumy. Four other people sought medical assistance, including two women aged 32 and 42 who suffered acute stress reactions.
A 37-year-old man was injured in a separate enemy drone strike in the city.
Russian strikes across Sumy Oblast claimed four lives and injured seven others over the past 24 hours, police concluded.
The fourth victim was an 88-year-old woman in the Richky municipality of Sumy Oblast, where an enemy drone hit the yard of a private residence.
In the Shostka municipality, a 50-year-old man was injured in the enemy drone strike.
Criminal proceedings have been opened for each incident of Russian aggression under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes).
