Combined Russian strike on Boryspil leaves one dead, child among injured

The strike damaged a five-story residential building in Boryspil, while parked vehicles caught fire in an adjacent lot. Emergency crews extinguished the blaze and evacuated 48 residents from the complex.

Tkachenko emphasized that eight civilians have been confirmed injured, including a child. All victims are receiving necessary medical treatment.

The barrage also struck a local industrial enterprise, killing one person and injuring another, the governor noted.

First responders, medical personnel, police, and emergency teams remain on site to clear debris and document the destruction.

Earlier on Sept. 1, reports confirmed that Russian forces launched a targeted ballistic missile strike against a railway depot and other Ukrzaliznytsia rail facilities in Kyiv, killing seven people, including six rail workers. The attack caused extensive destruction, completely leveling an industrial workshop.

On Aug. 31, municipal authorities in Kyiv issued 11 air raid alerts due to waves of incoming jet-powered Shahed drones, leaving eight civilians injured. Russian forces have subjected Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast to near-continuous aerial bombardment since Aug. 27.
