Russian forces struck DTEK Naftogaz gas production facilities in Poltava Oblast, operations halted at the facility, the company wrote on Oct. 16.
The enemy hit the enterprises with missiles and drones.
“As a result of the attack, gas production operations in Poltava were stopped,” the official statement wrote.
Earlier on Oct. 16, missiles and UAVs movement toward Poltava were reported, explosions were heard in the city and oblast. Russian forces also carried out attacks overnight in Chernihiv and Kharkiv oblasts.
On Oct. 15, Russia struck a Naftogaz group thermal power plant for the third time that week. Russian forces have recently targeted gas production facilities in Kharkiv Oblast, prior strikes damaged gas infrastructure in Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts.
