A third Russian drone attack on the administrative center of Ternopil in a week has again targeted an energy infrastructure facility, leaving part of the western Ukrainian city without power, Mayor Serhii Nadal reported on Telegram early on Dec. 3.

"Emergency efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the attack and restore power. Stock up on water, charge your phones," he wrote, adding that he would provide details of the overnight strike later in the day.

On Dec. 2, the previous Russian Shahed drone strike killed one person and injured three others in an apartment building in Ternopil. It set fire to the building's upper floors, prompting the evacuation of about 100 residents. Windows in nearby buildings and a school were shattered, and about 20 cars were damaged in the blast.

On. Nov. 26, during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, one of the drones damaged the city's power grid, leaving 70% of the oblast without power and disrupting trolley bus service.
