“We will have to send more weapons," he claimed.
"We are obliged to do this. Ukraine must be able to defend itself. It’s being hit very hard.”
He noted that the aid will primarily consist of defensive weapons.
The U.S. leader also expressed deep disappointment with the actions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, saying that he refused to stop the war, which results in daily civilian casualties.
“I’m disappointed that Putin has not stopped,” he added.
Amid media reports suggesting a possible pause in U.S. military assistance to Kyiv, the U.S. administration assures that the deliveries are continuing. At the same time, the White House claimed that some delays are temporary and related to internal Pentagon procedure reviews.
