The commander of the 2nd Assault Battalion of Ukraine's 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Dmytro Kucharchuk, shared in an interview with Radio NV that 80% of their successful strikes are achieved through the use of drones.

During the Radio NV broadcast, Kucharchuk emphasized that what’s happening now is essentially a drone war.

“We have specialized units solely dedicated to drone operations. For example, the 3rd Assault Brigade achieves 80% of its strikes directly thanks to drones,” Kucharchuk noted.

Earlier, Maksym Zhorin, deputy commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, criticized information suggesting that Ukraine might lift the wartime ban on drone exports, stressing that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) face a critical shortage of drones.

In late July, Deputy Commander of the AFU Andriy Lebedenko stated that drones on the battlefield have even surpassed artillery in effectiveness.

On Oct. 31, Reuters reported that the Defense Forces are actively deploying AI-powered drones on the front lines, which have an effectiveness rate of up to 80%.
